SITMA is established as a General Research Service of the ULPGC

To consolidate SITMA’s important role in supporting the research community — one of the main functions that has inspired it since its foundation — its establishment as a General Research Service (SGI) was approved by the Governing Council of the ULPGC on 17 October.

SGIs represent the ULPGC’s commitment to offering high-quality services in specific scientific and technical fields. Although they are primarily designed for the University community, they can also respond to requests from other external users. They therefore become teaching and research support structures for providing services to the University and its various bodies and administrative structures, as well as to society in general. SITMA aims to fill this area of interaction between the University community and society in the fields of Marine Sciences and Robotics.
