SITMA will have its own space in the Elder Museum

The Elder Science & Technology Museum is finalising the setting up of an area devoted to “Science and Research in the Canary Islands”, which will consist of 7 permanent spaces for regional research institutions. The ULPGC is one of these institutions and will have a space to show some of its most outstanding projects, including SITMA’s work in oceanography with gliders.

The exhibition will include various informative materials such as explanatory panels, real objects, interactive modules, etc. In the case of SITMA, the display will initially consist of parts of an obsolete glider lent by Teledyne Webb Research, and further educational resources may be included at a later stage.
