The origin of SITMA is the awarding of an infrastructure project proposal by the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness in 2014. This project was supported by 8 ULPGC´s research groups that joined to apply for and share the resources (vehicles and sensors) on which SITMA bases its services.
