The agreement was signed on 26 February 2016 by the Rector of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), José Regidor, and the General Manager of the Canarian Science & Technology Park Foundation (FCPCT), Antonio Marcelino Santana, accompanied by Javier Arístegui, Professor of Ecology at ULPGC and Director of SITMA.
The agreement covers the foundation and management of the new Marine Technology Service, which brings together researchers from three different University Institutes (IOCAG, EcoAqua and SIANI) and aims to provide services not only to the University but also to companies and public and private institutions.
