SITMA was present, for a second time, in a new edition of the International Sea Fair (FIMAR) of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which took place from 12 to 14 May 2017 and broke a new record of visitors (42,236).

In this occasion, SITMA exhibited a Girona 500 AUV in its own stand, attracting the attention of the general public. Once more and in a joint effort with the Robotics and Computational Oceanography (ROC) Division of the SIANI University Institute, the ULPGC and the FCPCT showed to the visitors the infrastructures and capabilities that they share in the fields of marine robotics and sensorics, as well as the range of related services that they can offer.
